Yesterday marks the first quarter being half way over. It always amazes me how quickly time flies when we are busy learning and having fun! You should have received your child's progress report (purple paper) yesterday. Please keep in mind that we have only learned P, U, O, M, X, A, D, and T thus far. We have learned numbers zero through five. I am planning to upload the wording for both letter formation and number formation so when you are practicing at home we are using the same wording! Look for that in the next few weeks. Also, letter reversals and number reversals are completely normal and they are nothing to be concerned with at this time!
Parent teacher conference sign up sheets came home last night. Our conference schedule is based on a "first come first serve" basis, so please return those to school as soon as possible! We will be sending home your scheduled time as it gets closer to parent teacher conferences. I am excited to meet with you and discuss your child's progress thus far!
This week we earned a brownie party for all of that great BRAVES behavior the students have been demonstrating in the hallway, at the assembly, in the lunchroom etc. Keep encouraging your students to display BRAVES behavior!!
Just a few reminders:
* If you would be willing to donate extra snack or M&M's to the class, I would greatly appreciate it! I use M&M's as incentives to those who are working quietly, following directions the first time, and many other reasons as well.
*Picture day is this MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th!
